Can Indian Visa Holders Be Deported For Overstaying In The US?

Indians residing in the US have been firmly reminded by the US Embassy in India to honor the conditions of their visas, as breaching stay limits like the I-94 deadline Failing to comply with visa conditions may lead to harsh consequences, such as removal from the country and being barred from returning.

As part of a new pilot programme, the Trump administration may require visitors on B-1/B-2 (business/tourist) visas to pay a bond of up to $15,000 to prevent overstays.

The rule, aimed at curbing illegal immigration, will be in effect until August 5, 2026. The countries affected haven’t been announced yet.
