New York City, NY, USA: Dr. Neha Chaudhary, a double board-certified psychiatrist specializing in children and adolescents at Harvard Medical School, has been named the Chief Medical Officer of Headway, a New York-based mental health startup, effective August 26.
Along with her role at Harvard, Dr. Chaudhary also serves at Massachusetts General Hospital and continues to run an active clinical practice. She is recognized for her leadership in expanding digital mental health solutions on a wide scale.
Headway’s Founder and CEO, Andrew Adams, emphasized her expertise, noting that Dr. Chaudhary embodies the company’s mission of combining accessibility with clinical excellence. “Her track record of transforming research into practical tools, paired with her innovative and entrepreneurial mindset, makes her the perfect leader to guide Headway toward setting new benchmarks for quality mental health care,” he said.
Before joining Headway, Dr. Chaudhary held the position of Chief Medical Officer at Modern Health. She also co-founded the Stanford Lab for Mental Health Innovation and has provided guidance to organizations like the Kevin Love Fund and the Made of Millions Foundation.
In its announcement, Headway praised her ability to simplify complex research into actionable strategies, a skill that has positioned her as a trusted advisor to several digital health and tech companies.
Dr. Chaudhary is an alumna of Harvard Medical School. She earned her medical degree from UT Southwestern Medical Center and completed her undergraduate studies at the Schreyer Honors College, Pennsylvania State University.
