A shooting at Ramot Junction in East Jerusalem on Monday morning claimed five lives and left multiple others wounded when gunmen targeted a bus.
According to Israel’s ambulance teams, nearly 15 individuals were caught up in the incident. The attackers were neutralised by security forces.
The shooting occurred at a busy intersection on Yigal Yadin Street, near the northern entrance to the city, leading to Jewish settlements.
Footage showed chaos as people fled, with victims lying near shattered glass at the bus stop.
The attack came hours after Defence Minister Israel Katz warned Hamas to disarm or face destruction.
Jerusalem has also seen recent protests over hostages in Gaza, some turning violent.
