A Greenwood, Indiana, Hindu temple was vandalized with anti-India graffiti on August 10, the fourth attack on the site in less than a year.
BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir denounced the act as rooted in “hate and intolerance,” while the Indian Embassy in Chicago confirmed it is working closely with local authorities.
BAPS Public Affairs said the attack has strengthened the community's resolve to stand united against anti-religious behavior.
Similar attacks in 2025 include:
- June 18: ISKCON Temple, Utah – gunfire and damage.
- March 8: Southern California – anti-India graffiti.
India has repeatedly condemned these acts, urging US authorities to take strict action.
