Indian American Physician Dr. Sreeni Gangasani Joins Georgia Medical Board Again

Atlanta, GA, USA: Dr Sreeni R. Gangasani has been granted a renewed four-year term on the Georgia Composite Medical Board, having previously held the positions of Vice Chair and Chair. His continued involvement reflects a strong track record of leadership in upholding high standards in medical practice, safeguarding patient safety, and ensuring fair regulatory oversight for physicians across Georgia.

Beyond his Board responsibilities, Dr Gangasani has been a prominent leader in organised medicine. He formerly served as President of the Georgia Association of Physicians of Indian Heritage (GAPI) and currently holds a position on the Board of Trustees for the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (AAPI), contributing to initiatives that support Indian American doctors and enhance access to quality healthcare.

Dr Gangasani has also been instrumental in raising AAPI’s profile both nationally and internationally. He chaired the AAPI Annual Convention in 2019 and 2021, directing major academic programs and networking events that highlighted the achievements of Indian American physicians. Additionally, he led the AAPI Global Health Summit in Hyderabad, promoting collaboration between medical professionals in India and the United States.

His reappointment to the Georgia Composite Medical Board represents not just a personal milestone but also a significant recognition for GAPI and AAPI, underscoring the growing presence and leadership of Indian American physicians in healthcare policy and administration.
