Indian Man and Daughter Killed in Shooting at US Store

Washington: A man opened fire at a store in the United States. An Indian man and his daughter, who were working at the store, died in the shooting. The suspect has been arrested by the police. The incident took place in Accomack County, Virginia. 56-year-old Pradeep Patel and his 24-year-old daughter Urmi were working at a store owned by their relatives. They had opened the store on Thursday morning when a man came in to buy alcohol.

However, the man became angry when the store was closed at night. He pulled out a gun and shot at the father and daughter. Pradeep Patel died on the spot. His daughter Urmi was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to her injuries during treatment. The police immediately arrived at the store and arrested 44-year-old George Frazier Devan Wharton, the suspect.

On the other hand, Pradeep Patel's family, originally from Gujarat, had moved to the United States six years ago. While working at the store of their relative Paresh Patel, this tragic incident occurred. Relatives mentioned that Pradeep Patel had two other daughters, one living in Canada and the other in Ahmedabad.
