Indian Man Assaulted at Toronto McDonald’s, Video Sparks Outrage

Toronto, Ontario, Canada: A shocking video showing a Canadian man physically attacking an Indian national inside a McDonald’s restaurant in Toronto has gone viral across social media, igniting widespread outrage among netizens. The clip, circulating on platforms like X and Instagram, reveals how a heated argument quickly escalated into a violent altercation.

The confrontation reportedly occurred near the “Mobile Order Pick-Up” counter inside the fast-food outlet. In the footage, a man wearing a Toronto Blue Jays jacket approaches another man believed to be of Indian origin. Without any apparent reason, the Canadian man throws his phone aside and begins shouting.

Moments later, appearing visibly intoxicated, the Canadian advances toward the Indian man, shoving him and grabbing his collar. During the encounter, he accuses the Indian of “acting superior.” The Indian man remains calm and replies, “You might get yourself in trouble,” prompting the aggressor to snap back, “What did you say to me?” The situation turns physical as the man continues pushing and confronting him while demanding clarification.

Despite being provoked, the Indian man does not retaliate. Restaurant employees and other customers step in, asking both men to leave the area. The aggressor, however, continues hurling accusations before finally being escorted out of the establishment.

The video was initially posted on November 2 by Toronto-based lawyer and journalist Caryma Sa’d. The authenticity of the footage has not yet been independently confirmed by HT.com.

Public reaction online

The viral clip has prompted a flood of reactions online, with users expressing anger over the aggressive behaviour.

One social media user commented, “This kind of behaviour is unacceptable. We may have immigration issues, but violence is never the answer.”

Another wrote, “It’s really disturbing—no one deserves to be attacked over ego or prejudice. Authorities should investigate this seriously.”

A third person added, “Being drunk doesn’t justify racism. Respect should never be based on someone’s nationality.”
