Mississauga, Ontario, Canada: A 25-year-old man of Indian origin has been taken into custody in Canada after allegedly pretending to suffer from medical issues so that female doctors and clinic staff would be required to touch him. Police in the Peel Region reported that the accused, whose real name is Vaibhav, visited several healthcare centres in Mississauga and deliberately exposed himself to female employees.
Investigators say he registered under the false identity “Akashdeep Singh”, using the fabricated Sikh name in all official documentation. According to police, Vaibhav intentionally staged symptoms to mislead medical professionals into examining him physically.
He was arrested on December 4 and is currently being held while awaiting a bail hearing. The charges filed against him include performing an indecent act in a public setting, identity fraud for personal gain, possession of another person’s identity documents, and identity theft.
Authorities also suspect there may be more victims or incidents that have not yet come to light.
The case has sparked anger online. One commenter criticised the incident by saying that while Canadians face long waits for medical treatment, this man pretended to be ill to take advantage of female staff and even exposed himself, calling for his deportation. Another person pointed out that he intentionally used a Sikh name, accusing him of attempting to misuse that identity for his inappropriate behavior.
