Edmonton, Alberta, Canada: A 55-year-old Indian-origin businessman, Arvi Singh Sagoo, was fatally assaulted in Edmonton, Canada, after confronting a stranger who was urinating on his car. The shocking incident occurred on October 19, and Sagoo passed away five days later, on October 24, while receiving medical care.

According to the Edmonton Police Service, the suspect, 40-year-old Kyle Papin, has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault in connection with the attack.

Reports from Global News indicate that Sagoo had gone out for dinner with his girlfriend on the night of the incident. While returning to their parked car in the early morning hours, they discovered a group of people relieving themselves near the vehicle. Sagoo reportedly asked one of them, “Hey, what are you doing?” to which the man responded, “Whatever I want,” before punching Sagoo in the head.

The powerful blow caused Sagoo to collapse. His girlfriend immediately called emergency services, and paramedics rushed him to a nearby hospital, where he was placed on life support. Sadly, he succumbed to his injuries several days later.

Police confirmed that Sagoo and the attacker had no prior acquaintance.

In the wake of his death, a friend, Vincent Ram, launched a fundraiser to support Sagoo’s two children. The campaign seeks to help cover funeral costs, living expenses, and the children’s education, while also providing emotional and community support during this difficult time.

The fundraiser message reads:
