Kala Utsav 2025 Showcases Indian Culture in Chicago

Chicago, IL, USA: The Consulate General of India in Chicago celebrated its premier cultural festival, Kala Utsav 2025, on August 31, highlighting the depth and diversity of Indian heritage through performing arts.

Now in its fifth edition, Kala Utsav has grown into the Consulate’s most prominent annual cultural celebration, bringing together the Indian community and showcasing their vibrant traditions.

This year’s event took place at the Yellow Box in Naperville, Illinois, where nearly 500 attendees, including several local dignitaries and elected representatives, joined the festivities with great enthusiasm. The program featured performances by more than a dozen cultural associations, representing the wide Indian diaspora across the Midwest states—Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.

Addressing the gathering, Consul General Shri Somnath Ghosh extended his sincere appreciation to all contributors. He also presented certificates of recognition to the participating organizations for their valuable role in making Kala Utsav 2025 a grand success.
