Chicago, Illinois, USA: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has issued the list of Non-Resident Indian (NRI) candidates who are eligible to participate in Round 2 of the NEET UG Counselling 2025. Students seeking admission to MBBS and BDS courses can now access the updated NRI eligibility list on the official portal – mcc.nic.in
Seat Allocation Based on Priority
- The MCC prepares the NRI quota list following a structured priority system.
- Candidates under Priority 1 include NRIs themselves or their children. These applicants receive the highest preference for seat allotment.
- Priority 2 covers first-degree relatives of NRIs, such as parents, siblings, or children, while second-degree relatives like grandparents, uncles, aunts, or cousins fall into the next category.
Mandatory Document Verification
Applicants whose category has been shifted from Indian to NRI are required to present original documents while reporting for admission. The mandatory paperwork includes an NRI status certificate as well as a certificate proving the relationship with the NRI. Inability to furnish these certificates could result in the cancellation of the allotted seat.
Steps to Download the NRI Eligibility List
- Go to the MCC’s official website – mcc.nic.in
- Select the “UG Medical” tab on the homepage.
- Under the “News and Events” section, click on “NRI Candidates For UG Counselling Round 2.”
- The list will automatically download.
- Save it for reference during the admission process.
Counselling Schedule Update
The MCC has extended the choice-filling facility until 8 AM on September 15. Meanwhile, the choice-locking process, which started on September 14 at 1 PM, will also conclude at 8 AM today.
Candidates are advised to frequently check the MCC website for the latest notifications regarding NEET UG 2025 counselling.
