Tokyo: On the second day of his official visit to Japan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi boarded a bullet train together with Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba. During this trip, he also met with Indian train drivers who are currently undergoing training at the East Japan Railway Company. The two leaders commenced their journey from Sendai city.

Prime Minister Ishiba later posted photos of the high-speed train experience on his ‘X’ account. At present, several Indian drivers are in Japan receiving specialized training to operate bullet trains. Before beginning his ride, PM Modi interacted with these trainees, clicked pictures with them, and encouraged their efforts. Earlier in the day, the Indian Prime Minister had also engaged in discussions in Tokyo with governors from sixteen different prefectures.

Through his social media updates, PM Modi noted that the 15th Annual India-Japan Summit placed strong emphasis on expanding cooperation. He underlined that both nations share enormous potential for collaboration in areas such as trade, entrepreneurship, innovation, and technology.
