The Vatican confirmed on Friday that he has been admitted for regular check-ups and bronchitis treatment.

On February 6, Pope Francis was diagnosed with bronchitis. Despite this, he continued his duties from his residence at Casa Santa Marta. The Vatican also stated that he presided over Sunday prayer services as usual. He has been facing health issues for a long time. In his youth, part of his lung was removed. He frequently suffers from severe bronchitis, especially in winter.

Currently, Pope Francis is mostly confined to a wheelchair. Recently, he fell twice, resulting in a broken hand and injuries near his chin. At present, he is undergoing treatment in the hospital.
