This year's Sankranti celebrations in the UK were held in grandeur at London's Harrow Leisure Center with around 1300 Telugu people. For a few days, Sankranti celebrations have had a special place in the celebrations held by Telugu people in the UK for the last few years. Starting with Bhogipals, Gobbillu, Haridasu, Muggulu and many other songs, dances and dance forms entertained the audience with an emphasis on the flavours of Godavari, the local dishes, affections, customs and culture.
Sahabanti Meals in Aritaks, Annavaram Prasadam, Panasapottu Pulau, Cobbarannam, Mango Panasanjala Curry, Ponnaganti Pappu, Eggplant Pakodi Curry, Mulakkada Cashew Kurma, Ginger Magai, Buttermilk Soup, Amla Charu, Kanda Avacaya, Zucchini Roti Pachdi, Garrelu, Curd Chutney, Chicken Curry, Mutton Fry, Prawn Iguru, etc., are cooked and served by the members of the Godaroll group themselves. Besides, Rajahmundry rose milk and cheese surprised everyone.
