The prohibited organization Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) has announced plans to stage a “protest blockade” at the Indian Consulate in Vancouver on September 18, distributing a poster aimed at India’s High Commissioner to Ottawa, Dinesh Patnaik, and advising the local Indo-Canadian community to steer clear.
This follows a Canadian government report confirming the presence and foreign funding of Khalistani terror groups, including Babbar Khalsa International and the International Sikh Youth Federation.
The report noted these groups, listed as terrorist entities under Canada’s Criminal Code, aim to establish an independent Punjab and often exploit non-profit organisations for fundraising, though most Canadian NPOs remain safe.
