A shooting around 1 a.m. in South Philadelphia’s Grays Ferry area left 3 adults dead and 10 injured, including 2 minors.
Police recovered multiple shell casings and a firearm; one suspect is in custody. Commissioner Kevin Bethel, calling the act “senseless and cowardly,” said officers had responded to the same block a day earlier for a separate disturbance.
Authorities are boosting patrols and urging public assistance as the investigation continues.
