NASA astronaut Sunita Williams' return has been delayed once again as the SpaceX rocket launch was postponed. The Falcon 9 rocket launch from Florida, which was supposed to carry four astronauts replacing Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore, has been delayed due to a hydraulic system issue. As a result, both astronauts will have to stay at the space station for a few more days.
The Crew-10 mission was ready to launch with four astronauts aboard the Falcon 9 rocket. However, a technical issue arose at the time of launch, causing the mission to be halted. NASA stated that the issue was with the hydraulic system, leading to the postponement of the launch. The agency mentioned that they plan to resolve the problem and attempt another launch within a week, delaying Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore’s return.
Sunita Williams and Wilmore traveled to the space station on June 5, 2024. Recently, Sunita Williams spoke from space, saying that the Crew-10 spacecraft from SpaceX was scheduled to arrive on March 12, bringing new astronauts who would take over their responsibilities. She also mentioned that they were supposed to return to Earth on March 19 in the same spacecraft. However, the last-minute delay in the Crew-10 spacecraft’s journey has led to disappointment for them.
