A Piper Cherokee training plane carrying a student pilot and instructor crash-landed on Mona Vale Golf Course in Sydney’s Northern Beaches after an apparent engine failure.
Two men in their fifties sustained only minor wounds and were transported to Royal North Shore Hospital, where doctors confirmed their condition as stable.
Witnesses reported the plane flying unusually low with no engine sound before skidding onto the fairway.
Bystanders helped rescue the pair before paramedics arrived. Eyewitnesses praised the pilot’s controlled emergency landing.
The Australian Transport Safety Bureau has launched an investigation, with preliminary findings expected in the coming weeks. Authorities called the survival of both men a “miraculous outcome.”
