Alpharetta, GA: A badminton tournament was held successfully at Fortius Sports Academy, organized under the banner of TANA. The event drew enthusiastic participation from a large number of Telugus living in the local community.

As part of its ongoing efforts to promote sports among the Telugu diaspora, the North American Telugu Association (TANA) hosted a badminton tournament on May 17. The competition took place at Fortius Sports Academy and saw the participation of several teams. Telugu players across various age groups enthusiastically joined the event. South East Regional Coordinator Madhukar, along with TANA Sports Coordinator Naga Panchumarthi, coordinated the tournament. Uday and AJ from Fortius Sports Academy provided valuable support in terms of venue setup and event logistics. Planning by Chandu, promotional work by Lakshmi, and assistance from Sasi and others played a vital role in the event’s success.

Several TANA leaders and supporters graced the occasion, including Anjaiah Chowdary Lavu, Srinivas Lavu, Bharat Maddineni, Vinay Maddineni, Kiran Gogineni, Sohini Ainala, Srinivas Uppu, Vijay Kotha, Satish Punati, Shyam Mallavarapu, and Vijay Kotta from Fortius Sports Academy. Additional contributors included Vishnu Vaidya, Raghava Thadavarthi, Suresh Bandaru from Tama, Sai Ram Karumanchi, Sunil Devarapalli, and Srinivasulu Ramisetty. The event also saw the presence of TANA well-wishers like Murali Buddu, Sudhakar Buddu, Bhanu Gullapalli, and Anil Chimili. Winners of the tournament were honored with trophies and awards in recognition of their achievements.
