Trump Expands Travel Ban: 41 Countries Face Restrictions

After imposing tariffs and triggering a trade war, U.S. President Donald Trump is now moving towards another major decision. Reports indicate that the Trump administration is preparing to impose a travel ban on 41 countries, including Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran, and Syria. According to a Reuters report, the U.S. government has created three lists involving these countries. The first list consists of 10 nations, including Afghanistan, Syria, Iran, Cuba, and North Korea, whose citizens will be completely banned from entering the U.S.

The second list includes East African nations such as Eritrea, Haiti, Laos, Myanmar, and South Sudan. Citizens from these countries will face partial suspensions, affecting tourist and student visas, along with certain immigration permits. The U.S. has placed 26 countries in the third group, though all names have not been revealed. However, it is confirmed that Pakistan, Bhutan, and Myanmar are on this list. If these countries fail to address security concerns within 60 days, the U.S. may impose partial visa restrictions on them.

This list is not yet final, and more countries may be added or removed. The Trump administration will take the final decision soon. During his first term, Trump imposed a travel ban on seven Muslim-majority countries, and now, in his second term, he continues to enforce strict immigration policies. He has instructed his cabinet to finalize the list by March 21, deciding which countries will face full or partial travel restrictions.
