Washington D.C., Feb 27: U.S. President Donald Trump announced that American companies will be able to hire talented Indian graduates through the newly introduced Gold Card program. Speaking at his office on Thursday, he explained that individuals from countries like India, China, and Japan study at prestigious institutions such as Harvard and Wharton School of Finance and seek job opportunities in the U.S. However, due to current immigration policies, uncertainty over their stay results in lost opportunities. These individuals often return to their home countries and become successful entrepreneurs. To prevent losing such talent, companies can purchase Gold Cards and recruit them, which will also generate revenue and help reduce the national debt.
Trump further stated that the sale of Gold Cards will begin in two weeks, expecting millions of cards to be sold. He confirmed that the Gold Card scheme will replace the EB-5 visa program, providing a new pathway for skilled professionals to work in the U.S.
