Trump Travel Ban Shocks Pakistan and Afghanistan

Washington: From the moment he assumed office, Donald Trump has been making sensational decisions, creating tension among global nations. Recently, he delivered an unexpected shock to Pakistan and Afghanistan by preparing to impose a travel ban on individuals coming from these two countries to the U.S. After securing a second term, Trump has taken several key decisions, warning multiple countries under the guise of tariffs and expelling illegal immigrants from the U.S. Now, citing security concerns, he is set to impose restrictions on travelers from Pakistan and Afghanistan, which are expected to take effect next week.

During his first term, Trump had already imposed travel bans on citizens from certain Muslim-majority countries, a move that was upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court in 2018. However, when Joe Biden took office, he reversed Trump’s decision, allowing citizens from these nations to enter the U.S. Now that Trump is back in power, he has signed several executive orders, including one aimed at identifying potential national security threats posed by foreign nationals entering the country. Officials confirm that the new travel bans are being implemented under this directive.

Meanwhile, the 2021 Kabul airport bombing, which resulted in the deaths of 170 people, including 13 American soldiers, remains a significant event. Recently, Trump announced that the mastermind behind the attack had been captured, crediting Pakistan for its assistance in the arrest. Interestingly, despite expressing gratitude to Pakistan, Trump simultaneously imposed a travel ban on its citizens, delivering a shocking blow to the country.
