Following talks in Alaska between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin on resolving the Ukraine conflict, Trump held a conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and leaders from the EU.
White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt confirmed the exchanges.
Zelensky shared that his discussion with Trump lasted more than 90 minutes, during which he expressed willingness to pursue a peace agreement and welcomed Trump’s idea for a tripartite summit.
Zelensky is set to meet Trump in Washington on Monday to address strategies for ending the war and convey his appreciation to European leaders for their ongoing support.
