The Trump administration has introduced a policy banning transgender women from receiving sports-related visas.

According to USCIS, athletes born male who compete in women's sports will face visa rejections, including O-1A and EB-1/EB-2 categories.

A USCIS spokesperson said the move aims to protect fairness and safety in women’s sports, claiming some male-born athletes exploit transgender identity for competitive advantage.

The policy falls under a wider set of Trump-era sports reforms, notably highlighted by the executive order titled "Keeping Men Out of Women’s Sports."

Many states have already enacted similar bans. While supporters argue it ensures fairness, critics see it as discrimination against transgender individuals.
