USA Cancels Visas of African Nationals Over Deportation Disputes and Immigration Crackdown

Since assuming office, Donald Trump has taken strict measures against illegal immigrants. People staying in the U.S. without proper documentation are being deported without mercy. Many African nationals who entered the country illegally have recently been sent back. However, the respective African countries have refused to accept them back.

This led Trump to take even harsher actions. Without any prior notice, his administration started canceling visas of people from those countries. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced that this is part of efforts to speed up the enforcement of immigration laws. He said visa appointments and new visa issuances for citizens of South Sudan have been canceled, and those with existing visas will no longer be allowed entry into the U.S.

Rubio further stated that no South Sudanese passport holder's visa will be valid anymore and this will take effect immediately. U.S. officials are taking strict measures to prevent African nationals from entering the country. He added that these harsh rules will only be reconsidered if South Sudan cooperates with Trump’s immigration policies. The White House reported that since Trump returned to power, nearly 8,000 illegal immigrants have been arrested—some deported, others jailed or detained. The U.S. has also identified foreign students involved in anti-racial campaigns, sending them warning emails—even to those sharing such content on social media.
