On Wednesday, the Vance family joined U.S. troops in Kentucky to celebrate Thanksgiving. JD and Usha, along with their children, helped serve meals and engaged with the soldiers on various topics. During the event, observers noticed a ring on Usha Vance's finger, sparking rumours about the couple’s marital status.

The discussion gained momentum after an earlier visit to the Marine Corps Base in North Carolina, where both First Lady Melania Trump and Usha Vance attended. At that event, Usha was not wearing a wedding ring, which fueled further online chatter. JD Vance had previously made headlines for expressing hopes that Usha would convert and had appeared publicly with Charlie Kirk's wife, Erica Kirk.

Responding to the speculation, Usha’s spokesperson clarified: "As a mother of three young children, she handles many household chores, including washing dishes, which could explain why the ring is sometimes removed."
