SpaceX's Starship, launched from Texas on its ninth test flight, lost control and crashed into the Indian Ocean about 30 minutes after liftoff. The Super Heavy booster separated successfully but lost contact during descent.
Starship reached suborbital space but spun out due to loss of attitude control, failing to complete its planned splashdown.
This marks another setback for Elon Musk’s Mars-bound rocket after two earlier test failures. Musk hopes Starship will eventually replace Falcon 9 and support missions to the Moon and Mars.
