NRI Alert: UK Police Launch Manhunt for Husband Accused of Killing Wife Found in Car

The body of 24-year-old Harshita Brella was discovered in the boot of a car on Brisbane Road, near Valentine Park, during the early hours of November 14.

UK police have initiated an international search for Pankaj Lamba, an Indian-origin man accused of murdering his wife, Harshita. Her body was found in a vehicle in Ilford, East London, last week.

According to Northamptonshire Police, Lamba is suspected of killing Harshita earlier this month and fleeing the UK. On November 17, Chief Inspector Paul Cash confirmed that more than 60 detectives are actively working on the investigation. Police have also released a photo of Lamba, seeking public assistance.

Chief Inspector Cash stated during a press conference in Kettering, “We believe Lamba transported Harshita’s body from Northamptonshire to Ilford by car and has since left the country.”

A neighbor reported hearing “two heated arguments” involving a woman who “sounded frightened” in the days leading up to the discovery of Harshita’s body.

“We have evidence suggesting Harshita was murdered in Northamptonshire earlier this month by her husband,” Chief Inspector Cash added.
