Kartik Ramakrishnan has been appointed as the new CEO of Capgemini's financial services strategic business unit, effective November 1, 2024. In this elevated position, he will lead global banking and capital markets.
Previously serving as the deputy CEO of the unit, Ramakrishnan has been at the helm of the company's banking and capital markets operations. He takes over from Anirban Bose, who has transitioned to the role of CEO of Capgemini’s Americas Strategic Business Unit.
Ramakrishnan became a member of Capgemini’s group executive committee in 2023, playing a vital role in managing global sales teams in the banking and capital markets sector. With a career spanning 25 years, he has successfully launched new financial products and provided innovative, cost-effective solutions to clients across various countries, including Australia, Canada, Germany, India, Singapore, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
Aiman Ezzat, CEO of Capgemini Group, remarked, “Kartik is Anirban’s natural successor, having led the banking sector for the past six years.”
Ramakrishnan earned his bachelor's degree from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) and holds a master's degree from the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago.
The outgoing CEO of the Financial Services unit, Anirban Bose, has been recognized for shaping and expanding the business on a global scale. In his new position, he will concentrate on propelling Capgemini's growth in the Americas.
