Deadly Michigan Snowstorm Triggers 100-Vehicle Pileup on Interstate Highway

Southwest of Grand Rapids, Michigan USA:  A severe snowstorm in Michigan triggered a massive and fatal road accident in the United States, involving more than 100 vehicles on an interstate highway southwest of Grand Rapids on Monday.

According to local authorities, whiteout conditions caused by the blizzard led to extremely poor visibility, resulting in multiple vehicles crashing into one another. Several vehicles reportedly skidded off the roadway following the initial collisions.

Police temporarily shut down traffic in both directions of the interstate to allow emergency responders to conduct rescue operations and clear the wreckage. Multiple individuals sustained injuries in the incident, though the exact number has not yet been confirmed.

Several motorists affected by the pileup stated that they were unable to see vehicles ahead due to intense snowfall and blowing winds. Emergency services urged drivers to avoid travel during hazardous weather conditions.

The incident comes as several regions across the United States continue to experience severe winter storms, with blizzards disrupting transportation and daily life in multiple states.
