Two Indian students from Hyderabad and Guntur were arrested in New Jersey for shoplifting at a ShopRite store. The Telugu women, one hailing from Hyderabad and the other from Guntur, attempted to leave without paying but were detained even after offering to pay double for the products.

The two Indian women made a plea to be released but were apprehended in Hoboken, New Jersey. Aged 20 and 22 respectively, these students were pursuing their studies in New Jersey when the incident occurred at a store in Hoboken city.

The students, originally from Hyderabad and Guntur in Andhra Pradesh, reportedly tried to exit the store without paying for certain items. Both individuals were taken into custody after ShopRite alerted the Hoboken police.
