Information about PepsiCo potato chip production facility in Kazakhstan

Kazakhstan, Astana: PepsiCo's new plant in Kazakhstan's Almaty region will boost local agriculture, create 350 jobs, and enhance relations with the country, with plans to expand by 2026.

During a recent meeting between PepsiCo executives and Kazakhstan's Deputy Foreign Minister Alibek Kuantyrov, it was highlighted that this new investment is set to enhance bilateral relations and underscore Kazakhstan's growing attractiveness to international businesses. The initiative aims to support local farmers and stimulate regional economic growth.

The proposed plant, situated in the Almaty region, is expected to generate 350 jobs and boost the agro-industrial sector. It will utilize local raw materials in its production processes. Initially, the plant is set to produce between 14,000 and 16,000 tons, with future plans to expand this capacity to 21,000 tons. The first phase of construction is expected to be finished by 2026.
