Indian-origin executive Vivek Taneja, 41, has died in the United States, days after being attacked in a brawl outside a restaurant in downtown Washington.
On February 2, Taneja and an unidentified man were involved in an altercation around 2 a.m. on the 1100 block of 15th Street Northwest outside Shato's restaurant, which left Taneja with a severe head injury and he collapsed at the scene. When the officials got the information, they immediately responded and rushed him to the hospital, he was in a life-threatening condition and he died on this Wednesday.
Earlier this week, an Indian student named Syed Mazahir Ali was involved in a robbery in Chicago. Earlier, 25-year-old Indian student Vivek Saini was attacked by a homeless drug addict in Lithonia, Georgia. It is reported that four more students of Indian origin have died in America this year.
