A suspected drunk driver, heading in the wrong direction, nearly collided with Kamala Harris' motorcade in Milwaukee on Monday night, October 21, as captured in a chilling video. The 55-year-old man, a local resident, allegedly drove onto the wrong side of I-794 via an exit ramp at St. Paul Avenue, passing dangerously close to the vice president and her convoy of vehicles, as reported by WISN 12.
The driver was seen veering into the left lane just as the first vehicle in the motorcade passed, followed by over a dozen other cars. One of the vehicles was said to be transporting Harris to the airport.

The last car in the convoy, driven by a Milwaukee County sheriff’s deputy, pursued the driver, eventually pulling him over and making an arrest. The man was reportedly detained after failing multiple sobriety tests.
Details from the arrest report
According to the arrest report, the driver expressed shock when informed by the deputy that he had "nearly hit a vehicle in the VPOTUS' motorcade." He claimed to have no memory of entering the freeway or nearly hitting another car. The report also noted that the man stated he had no intention of harming Vice President Harris or anyone associated with her campaign. Additionally, an open beer can was discovered in the vehicle.
The driver was charged with drunk driving and second-degree reckless endangerment and was held without bail. Reports indicate that the Secret Service was aware of the situation and expressed gratitude to the sheriff’s office for apprehending the driver.
US Secret Service spokesperson Joe Biesk confirmed the agency's awareness of the incident, in which a driver was traveling in the opposite direction of Harris' motorcade, according to CNN. "We appreciate the swift response of the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office, which led to the motorist being stopped and arrested for DUI," the statement concluded.
