Why Is the FBI Offering a 250K USD Reward to Capture the Indian Fugitive Who Killed His Wife?

USA: An Indian man has been evading authorities for nearly ten years after murdering his wife in the United States. While various agencies have been working to locate him, the FBI has now intensified efforts to find him, offering a $250,000 reward for information leading to his capture.

Bhadreshkumar Chetanbhai Patel, a 34-year-old from Gujarat, has been on the run since 2015 after he brutally killed his wife, Palak. His name has now been added to the FBI's list of Ten Most Wanted Fugitives, with a substantial reward of ₹2 crore for anyone who can help bring him to justice.

Patel and his wife were both working a late-night shift at a Dunkin’ Donuts when they got into an argument in the backroom. Surveillance footage captured the violent escalation, as Patel struck Palak multiple times with a heavy object, ultimately killing her.

At just 21 years old, Palak became a victim of the very person who had promised to protect her. Despite overwhelming evidence, Patel remains at large, a situation that reflects poorly on the authorities' ability to ensure justice. This ongoing case is a painful reminder for Palak's family, who continue to seek justice, as well as for those who have been following the case for nearly a decade. Hopefully, the FBI’s recent move will bring the attention and action needed to resolve this tragedy.
