Barack Obama Breaks Silence on Marital Struggles with Michelle

There have been strong rumors recently about former U.S. President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle Obama heading for a divorce. Speculations intensified when Michelle did not attend the funeral of former President Jimmy Carter and later skipped Donald Trump's inauguration on January 20. Despite the growing buzz, there was no response from the couple for a long time.

Now, Obama has finally addressed the topic in a recent interview. During a conversation with Hamilton College President Stephen Tepper, Obama admitted that he has been going through serious difficulties in his relationship with Michelle. He revealed that they have been trying to overcome these issues and that their marriage has been facing ups and downs for quite some time.

Barack Obama served two terms as the President of the United States. Reports suggest that even during his presidency, the couple didn’t always maintain a smooth relationship. In a 2022 interview, Michelle had also confessed that she struggled to tolerate her husband for ten years. Insiders say Obama preferred spending time outside the White House rather than inside it. The couple reportedly faced many challenges during their eight years at the White House. Barack and Michelle met in the 1980s at a law firm in Chicago and got married in 1992. They have two daughters.
