Blue Origin Launches Six Women into Space, Including Celebs and Journalists

Blue Origin, owned by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, successfully completed a space trip with women celebrities. Six women, including American singer Katy Perry, renowned journalist Gayle King, and Jeff Bezos’ fiancée Lauren Sánchez, went to space and experienced weightlessness for 10 minutes.

On Monday, all six traveled to space on the “New Shepard” rocket launched by Blue Origin. The rocket took off from West Texas and carried them 106 kilometers above the Earth's surface, allowing them to experience outer space.Later, the capsule re-entered Earth's atmosphere using parachutes and landed safely. Interestingly, the entire crew consisted of women. Blue Origin conducted this mission to promote space tourism. This marks the company’s 11th human spaceflight.
