New Delhi: The Chinese Embassy in India made a key announcement. From April 1 to April 9 this year, China issued 85,000 visas to Indian citizens. This move is seen as a sign of a stronger relationship developing between the two nations. Chinese Ambassador Zhou Feihong stated that 85,000 Indian citizens received visas to travel to China and that more Indian friends are expressing a desire to visit China. The Chinese government added that it has introduced several facilities to make travel between India and China easier.
Chinese authorities clarified that online appointments are not required to apply for a visa. Applicants can directly visit visa centers and submit their documents. Travelers visiting China for a short period do not need to submit biometric data. China is offering visas at a very low cost, making it more accessible for Indian visitors.
They also mentioned that travel facilities for Indian visitors are being improved, and the visa approval timeline has been shortened to issue visas as quickly as possible. The Chinese Tourism Department revealed that they are actively promoting travel for Indian tourists, especially during destination events and festivals.
