What began as peaceful demonstrations turned violent, targeting ministers, ruling party leaders, parliament, the president, the PM’s residence, and the Supreme Court.
Thousands stormed former PM Sher Bahadur Deuba’s residence. Former Prime Minister Deuba and his spouse, Foreign Minister Arzu Rana Deuba, were violently assaulted.
Deuba suffered multiple blows from sticks, while his wife sustained severe injuries. The Army evacuated them to safety. Videos of the assault have gone viral.
