Georgia Becomes First U.S. State to Recognize Hinduphobia with New Bill

Washington: Amid rising hate crimes against Hindus, the state of Georgia in the U.S. has introduced a bill officially recognizing Hinduphobia. With this move, Georgia has become the first U.S. state to formally recognize Hinduphobia.

If this bill is passed and becomes law, the Georgia Penal Code will be amended. This would allow law enforcement agencies to take action against Hinduphobia, discrimination, and hate crimes targeting Hindus. This bill was introduced in the Georgia General Assembly on the 4th of this month and is supported by both Democrats and Republicans. The Coalition of Hindus of North America (CoHNA) responded by thanking everyone who supported the bill.
