Israeli Scientists Develop Early Detection Blood Test for Parkinson Disease

Jerusalem: Israeli researchers have developed a blood test that can detect Parkinson’s disease before symptoms worsen. The related study was published on Friday in the Nature Aging journal. Researchers focused on the transfer of RNA elements (called tRFs), which play a vital role in neurological issues, and identified two key biomarkers.

One of these biomarkers is associated with Parkinson’s disease, while the other is linked to the progression of the disease. By focusing on tRFs, the scientists observed early-stage changes in Parkinson’s disease.Researchers stated that this blood test can detect the disease quickly, accurately, and at a low cost. The test is performed using PCR technology.
