Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA: A tragic road accident in the United States claimed the life of a software engineer from Andhra Pradesh’s Bapatla district on Tuesday morning. The deceased was identified as Avula Poornagopi (35), son of retired Army personnel Avula Srinivasa Rao, a resident near the New Bus Stand area in Bapatla.

Poornagopi was employed as a software professional in New Mexico, USA. According to family sources, he had recently shifted to the United States along with his wife and young son.

The accident reportedly occurred while Poornagopi was travelling with his family in a car. Another vehicle is said to have rammed their car from behind, leading to the fatal mishap. Poornagopi died on the spot due to severe injuries.

His father Srinivasa Rao sustained serious injuries in the accident, while his mother and younger brother also suffered injuries. The incident has left family members and relatives in deep shock and grief.
