Washington: The Donald Trump administration in the U.S. has delivered another shock to immigrants. It has ordered those who entered the country using the CBP One app during Joe Biden’s tenure to leave the U.S. immediately. Over 9 lakh (900,000) immigrants have entered the country through the CBP One app, developed by U.S. Customs and Border Protection, since January 2023.

Those who do not leave the U.S. are likely to face a hefty fine of approximately ₹86,000 (around $1,000) per day, according to the Trump administration's new plan.If the fine is not paid, the administration is considering seizing the properties of these immigrants as a penalty for non-compliance.
