Trump Launches $5 Million Gold Card Visa for Permanent U.S. Residency

US President Donald Trump unveiled the Gold Card Visa on Thursday aboard Air Force One. The visa is worth $5 million (approximately ₹43 crore). The card features Trump's photo and signature. Speaking to reporters, Trump said, “Do you know what this is? A gold card. If you pay five million dollars, it’s yours.” He added that he would buy the first card himself and that it would be available within two weeks. Trump had earlier announced that the EB-5 (Investor Visa) system would be scrapped and replaced with this Gold Card Visa. Those who purchase this card will be allowed to permanently reside in the US and also easily obtain US citizenship.

Washington: US President Donald Trump indicated that he is ready for talks on tariffs. “We imposed tariffs on other countries based on what they charge us. It’s all mutual,” he said. “As soon as these tariffs were implemented, many countries started thinking seriously about us and are now saying they’ll do anything for us,” he added.

Trump further stated that if any country comes forward with an excellent offer, the US is open to negotiations on tariffs. He emphasized that the US is seeking fair trade and the current tariff system is designed to ensure that reciprocity and fairness are maintained in international trade relationships.
