Israel has intensified its military campaign in Gaza, striking densely populated neighborhoods and medical facilities amid growing international concern. The ongoing assault has led to mounting casualties and deepened the humanitarian crisis in the region. In a recent strike, Israeli forces opened fire on people waiting near a relief center in central Gaza, killing 23 Palestinians and injuring over 100.
Eyewitnesses reported that the attack occurred near a Gaza Humanitarian Foundation facility. Those wounded in the attack were swiftly transported to nearby hospitals, where medical teams are struggling to manage the growing influx of casualties.
The Israel-Hamas war, which began on October 7 last year, has claimed over 55,000 Palestinian lives, according to Gaza’s health ministry. More than half of the victims were women and children, with over 1.24 lakh injured. Israel states that its objective is to dismantle Hamas and free hostages.
