An earthquake of magnitude 4.4 struck Nepal’s Sankhuwasabha district around 11:15 pm on Friday, with its epicentre in the Maghang region.
Tremors were felt across several eastern districts, causing panic as people rushed outdoors. No casualties or damage were reported.
Nepal, prone to frequent quakes, witnessed a devastating 7.8 magnitude earthquake in April 2015 that killed over 9,000 people.
