Americans4Hindus Endorses Saritha Komatireddy in New York Attorney General Race

New York City, New York, USA: Americans4Hindus (A4H) formally expressed its support for American Hindu leader Saritha Komatireddy during a virtual Meet and Greet held on December 21, publicly endorsing her candidacy for Attorney General of the State of New York.

The event began with opening remarks from Pramit Makoday, Global President of Americans4Hindus, who outlined Komatireddy’s professional background and qualifications.

Americans4Hindus is an independent, non-partisan civic organisation focused on strengthening Hindu and pro-Hindu American participation in public life through voter engagement, leadership cultivation, and support for capable candidates who uphold constitutional principles and public service.

During his address, Makoday noted that Komatireddy stands out as the only prosecutor in the race with an academic background from Harvard University and added that she also has teaching experience at Columbia University.

A4H Communications Vice President Geeta Sikand spoke about the importance of qualified American Hindus taking an active role in politics, stressing that consistent civic involvement is necessary to secure credible and effective representation for the community.

In her remarks, Komatireddy highlighted affordability and public safety as the two most urgent issues facing New York. She detailed her record of successfully prosecuting serious offenders, including an ISIS terrorist, and reiterated her resolve to improve law and order and enhance public safety throughout the state.

A4H Founder and Chairman Romesh Japra urged community members to offer strong backing to Komatireddy, particularly at the grassroots level and during the early stages of fundraising. He emphasised that unified early support from Hindu Americans has been a decisive factor in successful community-driven campaigns.

The organisation then officially declared its full endorsement of Komatireddy, with Social Media Chair and Political Strategist Sandeep Deswal committing to provide extensive nationwide support. Deswal observed that the significance of this race extends beyond New York, as public safety concerns increasingly affect major cities across the United States.

A4H New York Chapter Vice President Monolita Mitra and New York Chapter President Rakesh Shreedhar announced plans to organise multiple in-person Meet and Greet programs across various regions of New York State, allowing residents to engage directly with the candidate.

Representing A4H Denver, Colorado, Hemal Trivedi commended Komatireddy for entering public service. He underscored the responsibility of second-generation Hindu Americans to participate more actively in governance, contribute to civic institutions, and maintain lasting representation at every level of government.
