BAPS Levittown Temple Marks 25 Years of Spiritual Service

Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA: The BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Levittown, Pennsylvania, recently celebrated its silver jubilee, marking 25 years since its inauguration on August 20, 2000, by BAPS’ then-president Narayanswarupdas, widely known as Pramukh Swami Maharaj.

The year-long jubilee celebrations, held from June 28 to September 20, 2025, revolved around the theme, “My Mandir, My Home”, emphasizing the temple’s role as a spiritual and cultural hub for devotees. The events honored the temple’s 25 years of devotion, community service, and guidance, reflecting its lasting impact on families and individuals while reaffirming its mission to inspire future generations.

The festivities began on June 28 with the women’s cultural event, “Yeh Mandir Mera,” which saw over 225 participants engage in skits, performances, and reflections on how the temple has influenced spiritual journeys and empowered women in academics, careers, and family life.

From July 12–13, families from across the region gathered for the “Parivarik Ekta Mahapuja,” offering prayers together to strengthen unity, devotion, and a shared commitment to peace.

On September 19, swamis and youth led a “Kirtan Aradhana” with devotional music, followed by a “Nagar Yatra” on September 20, where women devotees carried sacred murtis through the community.

In a statement, BAPS said, “‘My Mandir, My Home’ brought the jubilee celebrations to life through dramas, dances, multimedia presentations, and personal testimonies, highlighting the Mandir’s guidance and enrichment of multiple generations over the past 25 years.”

The final celebrations drew prominent political leaders, including U.S. Representative Brian Fitzpatrick, State Representatives Jim Prokopiak and Tina Davis, as well as Senators Frank Farry and Steve Santarsiero, alongside other political, bureaucratic, and cultural dignitaries.
