Dilip Tunki Seeks Re-Election After 4 Years of Progress in Johns Creek, GA

Johns Creek, Georgia, USA:  Dilip Tunki, Johns Creek Mayor Pro Tem and Post 1 City Council Member, has announced his re-election campaign after completing four years in office. During his first term (2022–2025), Johns Creek was named the #1 Best Place to Live in the U.S. by U.S. News & World Report.

Tunki highlighted achievements in public safety, with police and fire response times among the fastest in the nation, and full funding for new facilities, including Fire Station 63. He emphasized his record on fiscal responsibility, supporting tax rollbacks and reducing millage rates to ease burdens on residents.

With his engineering background, he promoted the design-build project model, saving over $1 million on the Maker Space and Robotics Center. Major city projects include the $40+ million Boardwalk Park, expanded school field access, and new partnerships to promote robotics, recreation, and cultural events.

On economic growth, Johns Creek welcomed Boston Scientific and is developing The Medley, a $600 million live-work-play project set to open in 2026. Environmental efforts include a stormwater grant program and bio-retention systems to manage runoff.

Cultural initiatives include securing Macy’s sponsorship for Diwali, supporting Lunar New Year and Juneteenth events, and repurposing Rogers Bridge steel into public art.

Looking ahead, Tunki pledged to keep Johns Creek safe, business-friendly, and financially strong, with plans to establish a university satellite campus to support workforce growth and attract young professionals.
