Miami, Florida, USA: Rumors about U.S. President Donald Trump’s death spread widely on social media, prompting him to personally respond. He firmly dismissed the claims regarding his health, stating, “I’ve never been this healthy in my life.” His statement quickly eased the concerns of his supporters.
For the past few days, Trump’s health has been a subject of discussion. Recently, he was seen covering up his arms and legs with makeup to hide visible bruises, which sparked speculation that he might be unwell. Pictures of these marks circulated online, fueling more gossip. Adding to this, U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance addressed the matter, noting that Trump was in good health but also making it clear that he would step in as president if any unexpected emergency arose.
However, Vance’s remarks triggered even more doubts about Trump’s condition. Many media outlets reported based on assumptions, while some users on social platforms went as far as declaring Trump dead. The hashtag claiming his death began trending rapidly. In response, Trump shared a photo of himself playing golf over the weekend, reassuring the public that he was fine. Still, a section of social media dismissed the picture as “fake.” Trump supporter and well-known political analyst DC Drino highlighted the situation online.
Drino criticized the media, saying: “Joe Biden disappears from the public eye for weeks, yet the press claims he’s energetic and active. He’s practically resting most of the time, but that’s brushed aside. Meanwhile, if Trump doesn’t appear for just 24 hours, the media blows it out of proportion. This is a clear double standard. Trump has been more active publicly than any other U.S. president in history.” Trump himself also added briefly, “I’ve never been so healthy in my life.”
Speculation about Trump’s health had actually begun earlier this year when a noticeable injury appeared on the back of his hand. Days later, more bruises were spotted on his palms. His team tried multiple times to conceal them with makeup, but the media caught on, reigniting questions about his health. To clear the air, the White House explained that the marks were a result of Trump shaking hands with thousands of people during events.
Later, swelling was also observed in his legs. White House physician Dr. Sean Barbabella confirmed that Trump was diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency, a condition that affects blood circulation in the veins. The doctor emphasized that it is a non-serious ailment, often found in people over the age of 70, and not a cause for major concern.
